A really good read! I was pleasantly surprised as the friend who gave the book to me didn't like it much. The best thing in my opinion was the MC's choice of partner and why. Oh and lovely horses too! Though the author forgot some aspects of herd life, like the lead mare.

This is a sad but well written series. I think Bishop does a great job of slowly expanding the world through her characters and while the torture and rape are somewhat graphic, they are nowhere near the reality of the inquisition. This book does a great job of exploring what makes men and women turn their hate onto others and the characters grow and change through out the story. 3.5/5 stars, read if you want to watch Motherland: Fort Salem

The shadow hound lives, the horses on the other hand don‘t fare so well. It‘s nice to have a bad witch finder who is evil for a reason, the face, except Morgan, are still very self involved and poor Ari is just lonely.

I'm still a tad unsure about this book, as the first few chapters were confusing with lots of backstories and swapping of character POV, but I also can't seem to put it down! Thoughts? Opinions?

Read this for Felicia Day's online Vaginal Fantasy book club. I thought it was really slow at first, predictable, and I thought about bailing. In the end I finished it but I really had to force myself to focus. I finished mostly so I could engage in the youtube commentary with Felicia and crew.
