This is from my Goodreads "year in books." I hope more people pick up this cozy mystery in an academic setting. I really enjoyed it ??

I wasn't aware of the cozy sleuth genre but Frankie has got me hooked. Relatable characters, smooth transitioning across chapters, gripping plot.

Really enjoying this & looking forward to seeing how it ends. The academic context is well done in a snarky sort of way.

Smrloomis Done! This copy has the first chapter of The Musubi Murder in it. Can't. Start. That. If I do, then I won't finish anything else! 8y

She gets the local dialect pretty right as far as I know. Definitely heard people say "try sit" in Hawai'i ??

Not hugely into mysteries but this woman wrote one called The Musubi Murder so I'm giving this a go 😀
