Book number TEN of the Aubrey/Maturin series. Which this title is used for the MOVIE that starred Russell Crowe.

Ruthiella I wish that movie had been more successful! It was so well cast and i‘d‘ve liked to have seen more adaptations with Crowe and Bettany. 8mo
Bklover I remember that movie! I have a friend who reads that whole series every few years. 8mo
CrowCAH @Ruthiella agree on both accounts!!! 8mo
CrowCAH @Bklover that‘s a huge commitment to read all of them! I‘m slowly making my way through them. 8mo

If you like solid history and a rousing story, this is for you. Hornblower redone with better history and amusing writing. Read one and you will want them all.

Some of the best historical fiction ever written. Aubrey-Maturin may be even more fun to read about than Holmes-Watson. I've been reading two a year and am now exactly halfway through the series. #2015top5
