drokka The one with the orange writing looks part of a mass re-release of older titles when Rising Sun came out. (I say that because I was unpacking books yesterday and my copy of Congo is styled the same way and it's got the same 'author of Rising Sun' on it). I agree with @LibrarianRyan the black on will age better. Unless you're into that retro 80s look. 7y

I bought this large illustrated copy of "The Chronicles of Narnia" YEARS ago in anticipation of becoming a mother. It will be lovely when we can share in the magic together. Rachbb3 Yes! But mine went a little awry. I have the entire Nancy Drew series that I loved when I was young. I was going to give them to my future daughters. Well I had 3 boys. 😂 7y

My husband definitely gave me some side eye when I was buying things like this for hypothetical children, but I know he will appreciate it when we're able to share our literary loves with Josie. She is named after Josephine March, so my behavior can't be THAT surprising. Haha. 7y

Vinjii I picked it up last year just because I'd heard the title several times before. I fell in love with it and it broke my heart and shredded my soul. The beginning is a bit weird because it's told from the POV of a man with low IQ and he doesn't know how to spell and it's diary entries but then it picks up and is wonderful! 7y

tpixie I loved it too. I did the audio. I bet reading the journal would be even better. 7y

Laalaleighh I mean if you want to cry for hours while having your soul crushed into a million tiny fragments, by all means, read it. Me I'm gonna go cry just from thinking about it now. (edited) 7y

Suet624 I think I read this in middle school years ago. It might have been an English assignment. I remember the emotional state it put me in. It definitely should be read and it definitely hurts. 7y

CrowCAH @sammisho right now there's an album on Facebook that shows the covers, with publication year and publisher. But I would love to make a spreadsheet, with all the info, putting pics in as well, but haven't got there yet. That's the key, seeing the cover. 7y
