“Generous and Forgiving, Cinderella moved her family into the palace and found a lord of the court for each of her stepsisters to marry”. This is very unlike any other version of this story as it never says what happens to the family. This shows students that they can be forgiving to even the meanest of people that come their way to be a better person.

This would be a very easy read to a group of young elementary students. They would be able to easily grasp this novel since it is so easy to read.

Fables
This version of Cinderella was a very easy version of the Folktale to read. I enjoyed the illustrations that made the story seem cartoonish and comical. This plot is very simple and cuts right to the point.

I would use this book in my classroom because I think what Cinderella did at the end of the story, letting her stepsisters move into the palace, although they were wicked and mean to her, love conquers all. She didn't let them come to her without leaving happier and that says a lot about a person's personality and character. Cinderella is a great role model.

James Marshall's Cinderella retold/written by Barbara Karlin. This is a retold story. Just like the Little Red Riding Hood, I've heard this story time and time again but to read a different version of the book was interesting. I noticed a plot twist at the end when Cinderella actually let her stepsisters move into the palace with her AND found two wonderful men for them to marry. The plot is simple and direct.

I love the storyline of cinderella, but the illustrations were not my favorite. I can‘t really explain why but I don‘t think I would choose this version to have in my classroom.

James Marshall‘s Cinderella by Barbra Karlin and James Marshal is a piece of traditional literature. This was written in 2001. This book was the exact tale of Cinderella, a version. The illustrations were great and kind of strayed away from my original thoughts of Cinderella. It was nice to refresh myself on the story line. The plot is simple and easy to follow, as well as it is easy to remember.

“Cinderella” was written by James Marshall and retold by Barbara Karlin in 2005. This story was a variation of the original Cinderella and describes a young girl who has to take care of her wicked stepsisters and can‘t go to the ball. Overall, I‘ve always loved the original Cinderella and this variation is just as good!

Cinderella was retold by Barbara Karlin in 1989. This story is a great example for traditional literature. It‘s retold of the classic Cinderella, with some things being a little different. The way the characters were drawn was clear who was good and who was mean evil. This book was fun to read!

James Marshall‘s Cinderella by, Barbara Karlin. 1989. The first page of the story started off with characterization of the daughter. The daughter was “kind and beautiful.” The stepmother was “vain and a horrid women” which is also common in traditional literature .The book also ended with “everyone lived happily ever after” and most stories told today end in that as well.
