Surprised by this new sign walking into the library this morning after last night's snow. I appreciate them trying to keep patrons safe!

I've made mention of my love of Werner Herzog on here before. He is both a brilliant director and a flipping lunatic.

In the winter of 1974, he got a call that his friend and mentor Lotte Eisner was very ill. He got it into his head that if he made it on foot from Munich to Paris to visit her she would live. So he walked. This is the journal he kept while walking through the blizzard to save Lotte.

Dragon Believe it or not this is the second time Werner's name has come up, the first was during a movie based on aYA book 😂 7y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @Dragon Me and Earl is on my radar because I collect Criterion Collection films. Aren't they mentioned in that book/movie? 7y
Dragon The "Me and Earl" characters remake foreign films in a unique way 7y
gestapocat I really like Werner Herzogs documentary on the Texas Death Row that he filmed days prior to his execution. I'll check this out. 7y
