so-soQuick & entertaining. A lot of drama, too much to be believable, but don't think too hard & just accept the over the top nature of this closed room mystery.
The writing is a little *too* crafted and sounds stilted in the characters' mouths- almost as if a parody of the traditional whodunnit. Also a lot of references to millenial culture as well as books that seem to stand out like sore thumbs.

I found most of the characters easily relatable, and while I thought some of the drama was over the top from some of them...overall I found The Girls Weekend to be an entertaining listen/read. The perfect escape while you're doing something mind-numbingly boring.
