After being assaulted outside her home, Laura becomes Agorahobic. Her partner Jim suddenly goes missing,he was her enabler. This was an interesting read, watching Laura grapple with her Agoraphobia whilst trying to locate Jim.I started to get an inkling of what may be going on but the exact whys and hows as Jim explains them left me not disliking him as much as I had started to. I would describe it as more of a mystery read than a thriller.⭐⭐⭐

One of my favourite reads of this year! Beverly loves reading, she has anxiety and is socially awkward, her joys in life are her books, her parents and her homeless friend Bill. This book was such a delightful read, I was captivated by Beverly and her world, for me she was a very relatable character.Once I had finished it, I felt like I had gained yet another fictional friend and I know pieces of this book will always stay with me.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have loved every JP Delaney book I have read so far, this one whilst still a good read its wasn't the usual compelling thriller I have come to expect from JP,it was more of a slow burn type and I just don't usually rate slow burn thrillers as highly as I want a thriller to grab me from at least the first 2 chapters and hold me captive and almost holding my breath until the ending.Life is short,I need my thrillers to be compelling and haunt me.

This domestic psychological thriller starts with a domestic violence case that has been going on since 2014.The fear and uneasiness that these ladies are feeling is palpable and definitely kept you hoping that things would turn out well for them all. A very well-paced story alternating between back and two time periods.Though the subject matter is hard to read it was a gripping thriller filled with suspense. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A debut romance centred around a romance author with writer's block drunk texting her high school nemesis and somehow becoming friends. Such an engaging read I especially loved the messages between Gracie and Colin. Gracie teams up with her one time nemesis Colin to help her with her writing now that she no longer believes in happily ever after, after she has been dumped just before her wedding. This was a charming, lighthearted read for me. I was drawn to read this book because both main characters are bookish people and well bookish characters are my kind of people. I enjoyed the frenemies to lovers aspect of this book as it wasn't too far fetched, but seemed very natural in its flow. A fun engaging read for me ⭐⭐⭐⭐

An awesome short novella from Lisa Unger that had me reading it without putting it down.It was such an atmospheric read, even more than I was expecting for a short novella. This book definitely packed a punch way above its weight.I was hooked on the seedy, motel on the side of the road. With no other guest but a very obliging hotel owner when you are on the run from the police and a boyfriend, sometimes you seek shelter wherever you can.Creepy⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thanks to #Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.Whilst this wasnt a bad book, it just wasn't what I was expecting
I was expecting more anecdotes and advice on embracing aging etc but it was heavily filled with recipes which I wasn't expecting.I should have read more about it instead of rushing into reading it, just based on the title alone and where I am at in life.I felt like it didnt offer anything new.⭐⭐

The Guest: A Novel | Emma Cline

For 300 pages, Alex drifts from person to person on Long Island after being kicked out by the older man she‘s been living with. I kept reading hoping it would eventually become more than it was for me but sadly I felt like nothing really happened in the book at all really. I can see from looking on Goodreads there are quite a few 5 star and 4 star ratings so maybe its just one of those “not for me type of reads“ or I missed what was going on.

This was an entertaining thriller, I just didn't connect with or care about any of the characters, but that is more on me not on the actual book itself (which is why I still rated it 3 stars) I just found all of the characters to be unlikeable and I wasn't invested in what happened. Overall an ok read it started feeling a little over the top for me just after halfway through I felt it dragged on too long. The ending did have some surprising twists, but I wasn't left feeling satisfied when all was revealed. The author, has said that he changed the ending prior to publication.I wonder if the original one would have been more satisfying for him and why he changed it.

A handy guide for anyone wanting some inspiration and guidance as to how to create a home space that is more a reflection of them.

Heather struck me as being very open in this book, almost to the point of being too revealing but that is what a memoir is for. Bad Mormon had a good balance of giving enough details about something that happened and not giving too many to make it dull, but it still left me wanting more.
