1 post | 1 read | 2 to read
This book is a sophisticated but accessible introduction to Buddhism, as well as an in-depth study of Buddhism in the Samurai period. Hochswender again focuses on the philosophy of Nichiren and applies its principles to everyday issues ranging from health to careers to family problems.

Ending #NFNov with a book that I started reading at the beginning of Nov. I practice the Buddhist life philosophy of Nichiren Daishonin, a 13th century monk who believed that The Lotus Sutra contained the main teachings of the Buddha, as summed up in Nam-myoho-renge-kyo (I bow to the cause of law and effect). This book is simple with QandA, history, and descriptions of the main concepts, great for anyone interested. Details👇🏼#total 232, books-25
