This was an interesting Read about how the physical geography of our planet has impacted the human geography of our species. It's interesting to note the intersection of the two. Very intellectual book about geology and various other physical aspects of the earth. Overall excellent read.

Currently listening to this as I deal with my insomnia. (What a bitch.... ) But this book is fascinating as it explores how physical geography impacts human geography. It's tedious though so not a great book if you don't like a heavy academic read.

The second book in the monk and robot series was just as poignant, thought provoking and beautiful as the first book. The book.really asks very important questions about life and the future of our world. It's a mediative way to ask hard questions about the world. And Becky Chambers is brilliant in her way of getting us to talk about hard topics.

This was an enlightening and eye opening book about polyamory and what skills you need in order to do polyamory. What was great is that the skills mentioned throughout this book are applicable to other types of relationships, both romantic and platonic. Great book, highly recommend!

1.) If I need to be comforted I reach for romance, (it's rare that I find a romance book that doesn have HEA for an ending)
2.) I don't re read books for comfort but I will sometimes hold them and flip through their pages...
3.) Any book from the Bromantic series by Lyssa Kay Adams is a total comfort read for me.

I may not meet my goal this year. That's sad. Reading has been difficult this year due to life changes and other things happening. I am always proud when I do finish a book but this year has still taken a toll on my reading life.

Reader Friends:: Do you think you could read one genre for one whole year? What would it be? I am thinking about maybe reading just Romance next year...

wanderinglynn I‘ve read mostly romance this year. 1mo
rsteve388 @wanderinglynn Has it changed anything for you? Your outlook, your attitude or how you see the world and how you relate to people? 1mo
slategreyskies I don‘t think I could read just one genre for a year, but I do think I could do mostly one genre with an exception thrown in every now and again. I‘ve read a lot of romance this year too, and it‘s made me happier. I‘ve enjoyed life more because I‘ve been reading books where there are happily ever afters and where things come together and work out. I know life isn‘t always that way, but sometimes it‘s nice to believe it could be. 1mo

Soubhiville I‘m not sure if I could, I read so many different things! If I were going to try I‘d go with Fantasy. 1mo

This was a throughly engaging read about the story of cholera and the work that was done behind the scenes to create a modern day epidemiology field within medicine. It included a chapter on the Map created. By John Snow, that told the story of how the map he made allowed for an understanding of what cholera was doing
