Colorful illustrations and humorous plays on words creatively convey the experience of riding a ferris wheel. At first, I thought it was too surreal for my taste but I have grown to appreciate what the author is trying to do after reading it a few more times. I love this book for a unit on poetry in a younger classroom. It would be fun for children to imagine themselves doing something that they have always wanted to do and write a poem about it
This book had amazingly beautiful images and exciting plays on sound to talk about how to persist and try your best to achieve your goals. A lovely poetry book for children that will capture their attention
