This book is very near and dear to my heart and will be the book I use for my read aloud. The Little Critter series continues when he meets Alex, a critter in a wheelchair. Many of the students are Nervous because they have never seen someone in a wheelchair before. Throughout this book they find that there are actually way more things they have in common than what makes them different! #UCFLAE3414SP20

Ryan_R ESOL strategy 32 (using pairs for learning) is great for this book because the entire reading happens between Alex and The Special Critter! ULD 3.2 is highlighting the relationships within the book and applying them to the real work. This book is great for that because it‘s all about acceptance! 5y
Brennap Aw I love the message in this story, its so important for inclusion! 5y
DrSpalding Yes, you added a universal design principle. This book is all about acceptance and we need a variety of books that represent a variety of people, in our classroom libraries. Books as windows! 5y
