Broken, by Don Winslow, is a collection of six short novels. I usually have a hard time with short story collections. I seldom like all of the stories and am left wanting there to be more. This may be the first time I left a rating of five stars for a collection of short stories. Broken, is THAT GOOD!

Stellar collection of short stories, several of which reintroduce us to old friends like Chon, Ben, and O and Frankie Machine.

I‘ve read a few of Don Winslow‘s books and this one was one I just found out about and so glad I did. A collection of six stories with such interesting characters and some endings that I completely did not expect. Great read!!

Don Winslow absolutely knocked it out of the park with these 6 short novels. Each one of them is gripping, moving, with characters you will remember. I loved how Winslow included characters from previous novels, a few of which took me by complete surprise. These stories are spectacular. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
