pick4/5 stars. I compare Lauren DeStefano's books to The Haunted Mansion at Disney. Creepy and dark, yet still child friendly. This is most definitely a thriller for children. With themes like murder, possession, and PTSD (appropriately written for children) I found it to be mega creepy but still mysterious and fun to read. If you have a middle reader who likes a creepy story, I recommend Lauren DeStefano.
