Mehso-so

I have to be honest: The mystery totally disappointed me. It was almost an afterthought in the story and the resolution had nothing to do with the story.

But the setting is interesting and unusual (London haute couture paired with the Russian émigré community) and the characters are nice and relatable. So it was enjoyable anyway.

Finished this one the other day. A whimsical, quick read. I liked the setting oggi London and the Russian émigré society. I also liked the fashion environment, it was unusual.
But the mystery was terribly banale and improbable.

Still unsure whether l want to write a full review.

Well, l finished Madame Koska a couple of day ago, so now l only have 3 more #NetGalley files left that will expire in the next month (but l have quite a backlog of files that don't expire).

I think The Doom List will be up next. It even fit into one of the #Booked2020 prompts.

I'm so terribly behind with all challenges...

These are both enjoyable stories. Nothing mindblowing, but good companions.

I'm actually listening to Christmas at the Grange. I'll have to find some chore so that l can listen to it.
Currently halfway through. It's nice and upbeat, but it seems to take such a long time to get to the mystery.

Madame Koska is a fast read. Lots of mysteries around. Waiting for the murder. Quite intrigued by the Russian émigré setting.

1. The Silmarillion and Madame Koska and the Imperial Brooch (starting tonight)
2. Fixing It for Freddy by P.G. Wodehouse. I actually listened to it and loved it.
3. The Lord of the Rings.
