Welcome to Litsy!

Epistolary novel. A pretty easy read. It is a story of how an accidental email turned into a pretty intense emotional affair. Was it a romance? Was it a warning that the line between flirtation and “too far” is invisible? Was it an invitation to look outside of one‘s bubble? To reassess a longterm relationship? I can‘t tell yet. The ending was logical. Apparently there is a sequel, I don‘t know if I care enough to read it.

It's 4 o clock in the morning. I HAD to know how this played out... aaaaaaaand there's a sequel 😶😶😶

I loved the fast-pace of this book of emails back and forth between a man and a woman who met by accident. It was so funny I was always laughing; their witty emails were great. I would have liked the book a whole lot more if Emmi hadn't been married. And the ending—it completely surprised me!

Wunderbare Geschichte über eine Zufallsbekanntschaft, aus der sich andere Gefühle entwickeln, komplett via E-mail-Verkehr erzahlt. Ein Buch, das man mal gelesen haben sollte.

Ich bin immer noch nicht sicher, ob ich die Fortsetzung dazu lesen möchte - für mich hat das Buch ein absolut perfektes Ende, auch wenn (und gerade weil) es kein 0815-Happy End gibt.

I sprinted through this book. I had to KNOW. And then I did. And then I had to make sure it wasn't just the sprint that made my pulse race and my heart beat faster, so I read it again. Slowly. With a pen to mark passages. And still my pulse raced and still my heart beat faster. "Is there a safer place for secret desires than virtual reality?" I understand this. Leo and Emmi, I get you. North wind and all.

Reading and laughing en route to work. People were giving me funny looks. Oops. ?

"Prague is just perfect for love problems, especially at the end of March: everything's gray, and at night you have anemic dumplings and dark beer in some pub that's wood-paneled in the darkest shade of brown imaginable, watched over by an underemployed, depressive waiter whose whole reason for living stopped with Brezhnev's state visit. It's all over after that."

I was waiting for a friend at the bookstore when I saw this book. It was the last copy. It was a bit beat up; it had ball pen marks and smudges and creases but I couldn't stop reading so I took it home. "Is there a safer place for secret desires than virtual reality?" I understand this. Cyber-Me and Fleshy-Me can be so different sometimes.

Ovaj roman sam jedan dan slučajno vidio u knjižnici i odlučio ga uzesti. Knjiga mi je izvrsna jer je drugačija priča od ostalih također obožavam kad je cijeli roman pisan u porukama. Preporuka ako nešto želite zanimljivo i lagano za pročitati.
