From my notes, “this world building is what happens when the author has been raised in a society that is cis-and heteronormative, Christian dominated, and accepts white supremacy as how life should be.” #historicallyaccuratedragons

Another 'on holiday kindle find' I really enjoyed the idea of angels, demons & reapers living in Limbo city when they weren't busy with their day jobs. Main character, Lana is a Reaper but not an overly motivated one... that soon changes!
Neat and unique idea and plot. The execution was not there for me. Plus, I really did not appreciate the representation Meng Po... the only character to speak in broken English. Somehow every other God & Deity across cultures and countries speak perfect English but not Meng Po... ugh.

I really liked this book! There was a lot of jargon that Roquet used in the beginning but never really explained, so that was confusing for a bit, but you get the hang of it eventually. Her writing style is really easy to just fall into, it's not fancy, just colloquial and I think that was the best part about it. Really fun story, gonna go read the other 5 in the series now!
Lana is a reaper,She resides in Limbo City, where she likes to stick it to the man (the legendary Grim Reaper . She'd much rather be hanging out with Gabriel, her favorite archangel . Lana learns something that could unravel the very fabric of eternity.
