Finally getting to this, and it‘s sequel. Even with ebooks, I tend toward being a book hoarder. I keep finding unread books in the depths of my digital shelves. And since I‘ve been on a queer book binge (and really, when ISN‘T my my life a queer book binge?) I dug way back and pulled this out. My evening plans include going to bed early with a cup of tea and this.
pickI got caught in a torrential storm with this book in my bag. 😭 It is beautiful and touched on really intense topics (race, homophobia, poverty). You DO have to read the first book as it goes straight into this one. My only complaint is we read from the dads POV A LOT. I wanted more of the guys'.
Don't let his face fool you, I was overjoyed to get this a day early in the mail. #PotatoCat is just an old grumpy man.
