Devil in the Darkness: The True Story of Serial Killer Israel Keyes
Devil in the Darkness: The True Story of Serial Killer Israel Keyes | J T Hunter
2 posts | 5 read | 2 to read
He was a hard-working small business owner, an Army veteran, an attentive lover, and a doting father. But he was also something more, something sinister. A master of deception, he was a rapist, arsonist, and bank robber, and a new breed of serial killer, one who studied other killers to perfect his craft. He methodically buried kill-kits containing his tools of murder years before returning to reclaim them. Viewing the entire country as his hunting grounds, he often flew across the country to distant locations where he would rent a car and drive hundreds or even thousands of miles before randomly selecting his victims. Such were the methods and madness of serial killer Israel Keyes. Such were the demands of the 'Devil in the Darkness'.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One more about Israel Keyes. It‘s a weird need to be a pseudo expert sometimes, not this would ever be a normal topic of conversation. I‘ve had enough now. This guy was the worst kind of monster. Thankful he was caught before inflicting even more suffering and death. That he had a daughter blows my mind. Even being a father couldn‘t save his disgusting deviant behavior.

KathyWheeler I have the weird need too — with me, it‘s white supremacy movements, so I have a lot of books about the KKK and other groups. Not a topic that comes up much in conversation. 😄 Before that, it was serial killers; I don‘t know anything about Israel Keyes though. I‘ll have to read this. (edited) 5d
britt_brooke @KathyWheeler It‘s that desire to become an expert. Definitely think it‘s a personality thing. The need to not feel dumb should the occasion for these very specific conversations arise. 😂 5d
LeahBergen I do these exact sort of deep dives, too. 😆 5d
britt_brooke @LeahBergen 😂 Sweet validation! 5d
