Look, I‘m no prude and I‘ve been known to swear a lot, especially if I‘m mad, but this is over-the-top vulgar. If you don‘t mind the word f*ck in every other sentence, or a 15 year old f*cking the two hired guns, then this might be fine for you. I got to 39% of the very short audiobook and I just can‘t stand listening to this for another 1 1/2 hours. Eff that.

What a strange novel(la) . Two professional killers at the turn of the twentieth century are approached by daughters of a famous scientist to kill the monster that now inhabits the laboratory of his mansion in Oregon. Will leave what happens next to you to find out. Cannot say I was satisfied completely with the conclusion, but I now understand Brautigan‘s reputation as a great writer - he hooked me and I finished in a sitting.

Tagging another Brautigan as "Willard and His Bowling Trophies" is not yet listed at Litsy. This was my 3rd read of this slim little novel and although I enjoyed it less than my previous reads I'd still recommend this to any Brautigan fans.
