Mindyrecycles @Texreader -- The main destinations were Tennessee to see my SILs and sister, and Fort Myers to see my mom. Along the way, we stopped at White Sands, Roswell (NOT my idea!), Graceland, Cade's Cove in the Smokies, Sanibel Island near my mom, and Key West! Then we drove back here to Tucson from the Keys. @saguarosally -- no toads that I remember, if you can believe it! But we saw chickens, iguanas, turtles, and manatees. 8y

I just can't really get into this series. I love John D. MacDonald, but this is nothing like those books. Comes off as a more maudlin Carl Hiaasen (whose books I enjoy).
