I have read a few beginner books before this & I feel this work is partly good, partly not.

What I enjoyed were the accounts of various folk magical traditions- you don‘t find those in many books. But I also felt that the author word drops a lot, without giving proper explanations for the practices she mentions.

If you are a complete beginner, you may need to read some other book first & then pick this one up.

Narrator has done a great job.

I love Cynova‘s kitchen table books. She has a great conversational tone, breaks things down simply, and provides encouragement and tips on how to tap into your personal magical self. It‘s also a great reference for intention setting and tools to strengthen your practice. Technically my last book of 2020 (thanks to fireworks and reactive dogs), but I will count anything I finish tomorrow in my 2020 stats - my reading, my rules 🤣) Hapoy New Year!
