Sometimes I have this Post 10 channel in the background because of the calming water sounds. Because he has a video of a flooded lot because of beavers, this video of a rescue beaver popped up in my feed. The beaver was orphaned and taken in by this woman who named him Justin Beaver (Lololol sooo cute!!!) Later that day I was listening to The For Real Podcast and they talked about a book about reintroducing beavers into an ecosystem. I 👇🏼

SamAnne There's another great book on the history and evolution of beavers and how they are being re-intraduced called Eager by Ben Goldfarb. I work on river restoration issues and I learned so much. Reggie @Candority Maybe? I also forgot to say that in kindergarten our mascot was the beaver. We were the eager beavers and our principal went around the first month teaching us how to draw a beaver. 4y

Reggie @Bookzombie Thanks, Margie! Aside from their pelts, they were also wanted for their glands which because of eating willow bark which contains salicin which is converted into salicylic acid (aspirin) once consumed, the glands were used in medicine. 4y
Centique I‘m going to put this on my TBR for next year (I‘m doing a “nature and outdoors” reading challenge) I‘ve always thought beavers were cool since I saw a doco of them swimming through flooded waterways through trees - and awesome builders too! And Justin Beaver is brilliant 😂😍 4y
