pickWith nods to Hamlet this bk set in 1955 Yorks opens with a body floating in a river as per the classic image of ophelia. 3 yng people pull the body of their friend to shore and the ensuing story slips btwn the 30s,40s 1955 to gradually allow the reader to unearth the secrets that led to this dramatic opening. I really liked this novel which I hadn't heard of until hrg the author on 'up north books' podcast. I was off work Fri so we spent it in pub
