Treacherous Love
Treacherous Love: The Diary Of An Anonymous Teenager | Beatrice Sparks
3 posts | 3 read | 2 to read
Fourteen-year-old Jennie's life is turning upside down. Her father has walked out, and her anguished mother seeks solace in pills. Her best friend practically abandons her to be with a boyfriend. It seems like Jennie's real best friend is her diary. Then she meets Mr. Johnstone, the substitute math teacher. Jennie has never met such a charismatic teacher. She feels honored when Mr. J. seems to single her out for special attention, and begins to fantasize about him as her boyfriend. When Mr. J. first reveals his feelings for her, she is thrilled by the relationship that grows outside the classroom walls. Then, slowly, Jennie's diary becomes a record of her loneliness, pain, and confusion. Will it also offer her a way to escape from this treacherous love?

Pickpick

The students love Mr. Johnston, a substitute teacher who takes his job seriously. When he asks Jennie to be his assistant, readers learn that Mr. Johnston is not who he pretends to be. He has an unnatural interest in Jennie. Having no one to talk to about this relationship that excites her, she records her feelings in her diary. Not wanting to divulge any details, I encourage you to read this novel. Remember, if you see something, say something.

Mehso-so

It's hard to review a book with such sensitive information. The story was one of a 14yrold girl, whose parents are going through a divorce&this magical teacher shows up one day& tells her everything she wants to hear.
There is a ton of mistakes in the book-grammerly speaking- dates that aren't right, dates that don't follow other dates& basic misspellings.
But overall I think it's a book most kids should read to know the tricks that pedos can use.
