Daylight | David Baldacci
Daylight is the gripping follow up to Long Road to Mercy and A Minute to Midnight featuring Special Agent Atlee Pine from one of the worlds most favourite thriller writers, David Baldacci. FBI Agent Atlee Pines search for her twin sister, Mercy, coincides with military investigator John Pullers high-stakes case, leading them both into a global conspiracy from which neither of them will escape unscathed. Ever since Mercy was abducted after a brutal incident when the girls were just six years old, Atlee has been relentless in her search for the truth. Now, just as time is running out on her investigation, she finally gets her most promising breakthrough yet the identity of her sisters kidnapper: Ito Vincenzo. Last known location: New Jersey. As Atlee and her assistant, Carol Blum, race to track down Vincenzo, they run into Pine's old friend John Puller, who is investigating Vincenzos family for another crime involving a military installation. Working together, Pine and Puller pull back the layers of deceit, lies and cover-ups that strike at the very heart of global democracy. And the truth about what happened to Mercy is finally revealed. And that truth will shock Atlee Pine to her very core.

This is my favorite series by Baldacci. The characters are exaggerated, but still believable and the plot is big enough to hold two stories while holding my attention. Mystery readers take note! (PS. This is a series but written well enough that this book could stand alone.)

1/12 finished for #AwesomeAugust Readathon.

David Baldacci really knows how to write a good thriller and I love his minion-series. Even better as we had a crossover on this one with the appearance for much of the book of John Puller.

Can‘t wait for the next book in the series.

If you haven‘t read David Baldacci, what are you waiting for?

As I read this something in the back of my mind said, boy this plotline sounds familiar. I inhaled the book on pins and needles to find out what happened. I get to the end and close the book and see on the cover it was part of a series. Well, sighhhh, of course it sounded familiar, I had read an early book from the series. I need the next book asap.

Atlee Pine takes center stage in this one. She‘s hot on the trail of a decades long personal quest and her journey lands her smack dab in the middle of an Army CID investigation, where she gets some help from a familiar face! Great book, as always!!!

☀️ ᑕᑌᖇᖇ𝐄ᑎ𝐓ᒪ𝐘 ᖇ𝐄ᗩᗪ𝐈ᑎ𝐆 ☀️⁣

Last wk. was stressful, with little progress reading 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, the 3rd installment in 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢's outstanding Atlee Pine series.⁣ I couldn't turn off MSNBC because history was unfolding.⁣

Now I can breathe deeply & sleep soundly for the 1st time in 4 years, knowing that Joe Biden won.

Curling up & enjoying the aptly titled 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.
