This is a great little book of triads and proverbs. I especially enjoyed the poems at the end. My only complaint is that I wish it were longer.

“We should try and see ourselves through the eyes of our friends.”
I get the impression these people would be rather disappointed we need body positivity, sex positivity, self care, and self love movements. They lived the truths and realities of each of those movements without even thinking about it.

“To be a friend to others, one must first be a friend to oneself.”
It‘s interesting that this was a proverb that existed in every Celtic language we have records for (Irish, Scots Gaelic, Welsh, Manx). Somehow, a people that once covered vast portions of modern fat Europe knew a truth that modern Western society is struggling to relearn.

Oh wow, not special at all. Anyone else feel like this is written about someone we all know?

Gee, reminds me of someone. Too bad he‘s entirely unaware of the fact that he‘s not in any way special. People like him have existed for millennia and will continue to exist as long as humans walk to earth. They never maintain power long.

I have been using this as a reference work for about a month. I figured it was about time to actually read through it.
