Beaufort wasn't in the mood to cooperate with taking a test pic for my new Litsy account, but The Salvage Crew is an awesome science fiction adventure story.

This was a surprising one honestly. I think I picked this up on sale through Audible, didn't know what to expect going into it. Was a genuinely surprising read.
Halfway-ish through April checkin via #bookspinbingo:
Favorite books were tagged (20) and pet sematary (#booked2021 feat a Dr, 8). Salvage crew was an interesting perspective on the question of why we haven't come in contact with alien life and A.I., written by a Sri Lankan. I enjoy seeing what people from other countries do with scifi! Always thought provoking. Other books read listed in comments ⬇️
ARRRRRGH!!! 😡 I waited MONTHS before I gave up and burned that last Audible credit!! *shakes fist at sky* SERIOUSLY AUDIBLE!?!?!? 😡 Meh! It‘s a good deal if you like Nathan Fillion, sci-fi, bit of horror, bit of a snarky A.I.. 🖤😁😆🤗
🎧 This was my new last Audible credit.
“Crafted for sci-fi fans of The Martian, Red Dwarf, and We Are Legion (We Are Bob).”
OK they had me at Nathan Fillion! This has been on my radar since it first showed up on the Audible site.
Call-backs to old school sci-fi.
I like Fillion‘s voice. A plus.
An AI overseer & the humans in his charge salvaging on an unmapped & unexpectedly dangerous world.
I‘m listening to it again 😁💕🖤 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4
I listened to this via #NetGalley, and to me it was just too slow, depressing and repetitive. The best part of the experience was Nathan Fillion as narrator. He was very animated, will look for more with his voice. My second hard sci fi that I disliked in 2020.
