🎧 This was a hilarious, fast paced, sci-fi audiobook read by RC Bray. I love Winnie, what a fun character! This is very adult. The low brow humor had me 😂. Loved the cast! Alien ?? abduction, a pastor with a desert eagle, a gun-toting tight-skirted blue octogenarian, a hybrid uber driver, a sheriff, a millennia of child experiments, many shoot outs and a broken hero private investigator ... how could you go wrong? Good audiobook! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️2/3

🎧 book 2 ... great audiobook! I like these books so much that I bought the hardcover of book one for my niece for her birthday. She‘s 5 but her brother is 10 & their mom loves Harry Potter which came up again in this book. I think it‘ll be a fun family book. The story is still like a young Veronica Mars crossed with the Ghost Whisperer. This book takes place in Paris where book 1 was in Scotland. Think ... catacombs 😈 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4

Daisey I really enjoyed the first and have the second, but I haven‘t had a chance to read it yet. Glad to hear it was good as well. 3d
Twainy It‘s very similar to book 1 & I can‘t wait to see what city/country will be next 😊 3d

🎧 I recently read an interesting review of Thirteen which is the 3rd book in this series. I like to start at the beginning of series. This is book 1 & it didn‘t disappoint. The narrator was a good choice for Eddie. It‘s about a con artist who becomes a lawyer then shortly after he quits his kid‘s kidnapped and he‘s forced to help the Russian mob in a court trial. Eddie‘s not an angel but it‘s clear he‘ll do anything to keep his kid safe. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎧 2nd book in the series so I made sure to read the summary. Interesting. So I thought that Dr Wu was a bit unlikable maybe just to amp up the book drama but she was a bit odd. Finney was a great bad guy. Sebastian was just the right amount of dumb bad guy and sentimental good guy. Spencer was a bit dumb as a puppy dog doctor x-bf. I loved the Delores & mind control story line! Good medical thriller! Thank you HOOPLA! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/4

🎧 Well. What can I say about this story? Not for the faint of heart. A lot of colorful language & talk about Asgard so my mind would wonder to The Avengers which this book has absolutely nothing to do with ... but Thor, Ragnarok, Loki all who I know from the MU are mentioned quite a bit. Krampus VS Santa & the latter seems to be the bad guy. Adult themes & language. I dragged my feet but it ended up being better than I imagined! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎧 this was a difficult review. I wanted to LOVE this book. The narrator is well known but she was lukewarm reading this book. It might be due to the book being written like a government document/report. I can say that I loved the ending!! The last 20% really interested me the rest was just ok. I know, not a glowing review but it‘s worth a read. I don‘t regret it. I hope there‘s another book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎧 do you remember the 1971 movie!? I loved that movie & would watch it whenever it came on tv late at night. The movie follows the book pretty closely. It‘s a short book at about 8 hours & the narration is good. It‘s pretty sciencey/medically for 1971. This author also wrote Jurassic Park! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎧 Armageddon (Expeditionary Force #8) So this is my #1 guilty pleasure. I love Skippy! I admit that the book can be brutal & there are swear words & adult situations. The humor is low brow, puerile & sarcastic. I can‘t help it, I love Skippy!! RC Bray narrates this series to perfection! I can‘t wait for book 9! This is an excellent addition to the series. I laughed a lot. Audiobook recommendation. Fun! 🥰 personal rating of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4

🎧 I loved & recommend this audiobook. I would never have read it. This reminds me of Daisy Jones & a few other books. The audiobook was amazing but the book was ... meh. Tom Hanks sells this book. The story was maybe 3-star. The narration brings it to life & makes it a compelling story that spans a lifetime, 3 parents, 5 kids, servants and the house that changed all of their lives. The story revolves around the 2 oldest kids. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️2/3

🎧 When I started listening to this book I was thinking is this YA 🤨 ... so I figured I‘d go look and NOPE it‘s for 8-10 year olds. And I loved it!! Only 6 hours. Fun! Quick! A cross between Veronica Mars & Ghost Whisperer! I liked both so I said YES when Hoopla gave me the option of taking out Book 2 when I returned Book 1! Probably great for a family read! Harry Potter references popped up a couple times throughout the book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️2/3.

🎧 I‘m going to guess that this is YA since the kids are the heroes & there‘s no swearing. It‘s a spooky story about 2 Irish abandoned kids who in looking for work find themselves in a spooky old decrepit house with a family that has secrets & ghosts of course. I really should at least read the blurbs on some of these books before I pick them up. For a spooky YA book it was great so add a star to my rating if that‘s your cup of tea 😈 ⭐️⭐️⭐️2/3

lele1432 Sounds like a fun one! 3w
Twainy @lele1432 We just saw Addams Family so for absolutely no reason this book reminded me of that movie. Not even remotely similar but kids who are a little more adult-like than kid-like maybe. The book unfolds at a really good pace. 2w

🎧 it took me SO long to finish this book! It‘s not my genre & I‘ve been distracted with work ... I didn‘t want to like it but I did. It had a YA trope or two but they were easily overlooked. Great book! I highly recommend it! Good conflict, not much teen romance, royals vs the peasants where the royals are pretty much cowards with supernatural powers. A war is sustained by the ruling class enlisting the common class. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

🎧 I feel I should have read this one. The flashbacks made the audio feel disjointed or maybe I‘m having difficulty focusing? The book is great. It reminds me of the way King can scare you by taking you back to your childhood! It‘s a cross between The Abyss, The Shining and The Thing. Gross, scary, creepy. I wish they had talked more about The medical reason LUKE went down to the bottom of the trench. All in all a good horror book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎧 I wasn‘t fond of the narrator. She was ok just nothing special. This seems to be a real life telling of the lives of the five victims of Jack the Ripper prior to their deaths. It‘s very interesting how dramatically life has changed in just 150 years. A lot of poverty, drinking, babies. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎧 free amazon audiobook! I sooo wanted to like this book but nope! It was total garbage. Maybe because the narrator sounded like a bad monotone AI or just that it felt like a crappy ripoff of Seveneves which pretty much revolves around a flower? 🤨 You might listen to this book & find a nugget of awesomeness but I did not. 🎧 one of my free Audible books this month. I got it because David Tennant was billed first in the full cast. Well he‘s not prominent. He reads the part of the doctor with what seems like a poor Austrian accent? It is a creepy October book and short but nothing special. 🎧 I‘m on the fence. Without the Tom subplot I would have LOVED this book, LOVED IT! It‘s similar to Eleanore Oliphant.
