🎧 I almost DNF‘d this book but the author wrote The One, so …

About a group of people meeting & staying at a Hostel in Venice Beach. Multiple characters with multiple story lines in multiple time lines. I didn‘t know if I had the energy or will to keep them all straight.

Give it a try. I was too lazy to find another book 😆 and soon I was drawn into the intrigue!! It slowly ramps up and YESSS becomes a fun popcorny murder mystery!!

🎧 There‘s a short interview with the authors at the end.

What a cool idea. A box that will help you lose weight, pay you, addict you. Perfect length.

Gwendy‘s such an interesting character! She really held a lot of power. I specifically liked the school chapter when she posed the question, WHAT IF!? To the class. And the teacher mentioned that she didn‘t say what she would do? Gwendy said, I don‘t know, that‘s why I asked.

🎧 12 stories. I‘ve read a couple before. Not all are narrated by James Marsters. Not all are told by Harry. Quite a few about Molly. The best one by far is the last one, ZOO. You get to hear the story in Harry‘s POV & then Molly, Maggie & my favorite, Mouse! A mixed bag but overall a really solid entry in the Dresden Universe.

🎧 loved this book! I‘m on a fluff kick! Fiinlay & Vero are hilarious. Vero has a deadpan dark sense of humor but is she hiding something! Fin‘s X, Stephan is such a jerk & they need to save him from a criminal Russian mob boss. A little more character development in this book but the ridiculous situations Findlay is always stepping into.

If you enjoyed book 1, this one is even better! Julian could save her while Nick can arrest her?

Harry has come a long way. In this book Mab loans Harry (aka the Winter Knight) out to Nicodemus. Harry still has the parasite in his head threatening to kill him & now Mab has given him an ice cold earring to keep it at bay while he takes part in the Hades Heist!

Butters‘ character is expanded!

A host of new & old, friends & enemies. Action! Action! Action!

🎧 I loved this book! I had so many reservations before jumping in! Not my genre! I must have been in the mood for an obvious Rom-Com good time! This was a light-hearted fun book that I finished in one sitting.

It‘s exactly what it says it is!!! It‘s funny, tropey, madcap fun!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👇🏻

Twainy An adopted sister sends 3 cousins a letter that says she‘s moving to NYC & stealing one of their men to go with her. She‘s a great antagonist, I hated her LOL she‘s been a life long torturer for her adopted sister & was so mean to her cat.

All three of the cousins have reasons to suspect their man might be the one & each one will convince you in time that their‘s is the one!

Twainy The family has been cursed for over 100 years due to a mix up so the entire family is forbidden to use any magic. When magic is accidentally performed it‘s just the first of many hilarious accidents.

If you like silly madcap rom-cons with a little obvious miscommunication (no real YA angst), magic & a bit of a mystery then you might also enjoy this book. It really made me smile. It must be the book I didn‘t know I needed.

🎧 1st 1/3 of book was compelling. A pandemic kills men, 90% of the time. Multiple female POV chapters that start with the character‘s name 🙌

The 2nd 1/3, what would happen if the world was ruled by women? What would change & how. 👍🏼

I woulda finished the book differently. The inexplicable turn women take shortly after a vaccine is available felt a bit disappointing yet it would prolly make a good book club selection.

🎧 Tough one. I have mixed feelings about this audiobook, not because of the story but the audio format can be slightly confusing. There‘s something that would have helped immensely & should have been in the summary … know this before you jump in:

Etta - grandma
Cecilia - mother
Blythe - daughter (MC, storyteller)
Violet - Blythe‘s daughter

That should help you keep track of the multiple storylines.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👇🏻

Twainy Multigenerational psychological thriller. Sometimes moms just don‘t feel a connection to their kids. Sometimes kids are evil monsters. Or are they? This is a story of just such a family. Dysfunctional, mental health issues, broken damaged people & multiple tragedies.

For a long time I thought Baby Teeth but it‘s definitely more complicated.

That last scene 👍🏼
