For Shiva's sake, another life must be sacrificed. Teacher thought he had steeled himself to commit the deed, but perhaps some lingering trace of his humanity stilled his hand. Unable to harm others, he realizes the only recourse is to instead sacrifice himself. But what remains once the soul is gone?

4/5â Definitely the best volume so far. So many feels. Shiva really came alive as a character in this one. #doublespin

Okay, okay, everything getting darker and more dire has gone on long enough, thank you! Time to change it up, dontcha think?! 🫣 There were some touching moments, but it was very brief sparks in a very dark space. Am interested in the identity of the cloaked figure....and of course edging towards a conclusion. Just four more volumes to go...the last of which my library doesn't have yet. 😩

Oh look, another 5 star in this series! This was just an absolutely wonderfully gut wrenchingly sad volume. I absolutely needed tissues for it, and I just don't know what's going to happen in the next one. But I don't think I'm ready emotionally to find out!
