Just finished reading what will probably be my last book of the year. I may be able to squeeze a graphic novel in later. I took the paper cover off my book and found this lovely blue cover with illustrations. So pretty.
Starting off this freezing (13F) last day of the year with some blue Magic Potion tea (butterfly pea flower tisane). It looks purple in the photo but is indigo blue. It does turn purple if you add lemon. 🍋

Animator Sanjay Patel: "epic mythology without all the paper cuts."
Each 2-page spread of eye-popping artwork is accompanied by a paragraph of text. Patel condenses 1000 pages to about 150. Fun & easily digestible, yet the story's majestic sweep and concepts are retained. Adventure, loyalty, romance, monsters, & good triumphant over evil. #diversebooks

Varshitha My grandfather used to read me from Sri Ramayana Darshanam which was originally written in Kannada , a South Indian language.. Also Mahabharatha stories from the author Rajagopalachari.. It was our bed time stories..

Lindy @Varshitha 😱 Wasn't it a bit tragic and violent for bedtime? I will try the only English Mahabharata in my library's holdings, a shortened modern version by RK Narayan. (Library also has various Hindi, Gujerati & Bengali versions). 8y
Varshitha Hahaha.. 😆 Ramayan and Mahabharatha is our mythological story.. In India every kid gets to hear the story at a very young age.. I think it was told in a more subtle manner which suits our age.. I have read , watched these stories so many times that it is part of me now.. 8y
