This one is more of a family drama with some thriller aspects, and I wasn‘t thrilled with some of the writing as times. It didn‘t keep me engulfed enough like a thriller would, but it still had a decent premise and twists.
Starting this after bailing on the last one. 🤦🏻♀️
This one should be popular with those suspense-thriller-mystery lovers out there, and I know there are lots of you! And it should especially appeal to fans of female leads as well as moody settings. This is a pretty crazy and unpredictable family drama/thriller! Told in third-person present tense from multiple perspectives, it‘s fast-paced and hard to put down! The titular character escapes from an abusive and isolated existence only to find herself identified as the adult who went missing as a child twenty years earlier! As the pieces fall into place, the structure of the book itself makes this story more chaotic than it needs to be though!
