This is a rom com type book set in Korea. It is about a doctor who meets a young woman who is a chef and he starts ordering all of his meals from her. He is a bit socially awkward and they develop a relationship but a lot about the medical side and cooking side come into this story. I didn‘t really love this book. I didn‘t care for the writing and I didn‘t enjoy the characters. I‘m hoping the next one will be better!

DNF page 9. There is a weird cheating thing that isn‘t cheating because they‘re not together. He walks in on the woman he is letting stay in a spare room having sex with someone else. But they‘re not a couple. Also, it strikes me as strange that someone who has OCD (who calls for a cleaning service immediately, before even kicking them out, because of the OCD) would even consider having a roommate. ⬇️

kimmypete1 Cont. - And then there‘s a little drop in about the fact that he basically worked three days straight due to a school shooting! Where he failed to save the victims. Felt like that came out of left field. You can‘t just casually drop in a school shooting. (edited) 4y

2/5

I hate DNFing books, especially books I wanted to enjoy. I left a much longer review on goodreads, but the short of this is that this probably would have been a so-so for me, if not for the translation issues.

There were a lot of odd word choices in the dialog, that were clearly meant to be significant. I suspect they were literally translated to words don't have the same connotation in English. It just kept pulling me out of the story.
