This is a tough one. There‘s a lot of stuff I really dig. Disabato‘s voice is killer, and this is definitely a page-turner. However, it‘s not the story I thought I was getting into. So much of the book‘s emotional strength is tied to its main character‘s arc — and I‘ve grown tired of “bad girl” characters who drink and fuck their feelings away.
Not a bad book by any means, but I didn‘t totally connect with it.
