For me the #April #12Booksof2021 can only be the 7th book in the Matilda Darke series. What a heart stopping roller-coaster ride, has totally stayed with me 8 months on and think it was my crime fiction book of the year.
Totally recommend this series! #4thBookof2021

And it beat four other great 5 stars that month, Twisted Lies : Angela Marsons, The Midnight Library : Matt Haig, Left You Dead : Peter James, Where the Crawdads Sing : Delia Owens

Wow! What a book! Non-stop high tension and action. This made it almost impossible to put this book down. Very well-written with some great characters and some good twists in there. Even more impactful as set not far from where we live. Only read one other in this series but will be reading the others in the series. Strongly recommended but be ready for some gruesome action.

rwmg He was. 20 years later I found one of the accompanying books at my sister's while looking for something to read and discovered that not only had we both been fascinated by the content of the programmes but we had also both been lusting after him. 3y
