Some books by Asian diaspora as we head towards AAPI Heritage Month. I realize that I don‘t own any books by Pacific Islanders so I hope to remedy that!

BarbaraBB What a great collection they make! (edited) 2y

This is the third book in this series and I didn't like it quite as much as the first two, but it was still good. Kind of slow pace in the beginning.

Yang‘s Front Desk series is one of my favorite ongoing MG series. In this outing, Mia & her parents travel to China to visit family, where Mia sometimes feels as much of an outsider as she does in the US, and then, upon their return, discover there is a new threat to their hotel. Once again, Yang has written a great story, one that deals with the immigrant experience, identity, consent, bigotry, friendship & family. Recommended. On sale 9/21/21.
