This was such a beautiful soft tale about community, nature and the small & big joys of working together in the garden. It‘s mostly vibes, but those vibes are gorgeous.
Loved the pastel art nouveau style - so lush. So many beautiful little details.

Lovely story, lovely art. Could be an opportunity to talk with kids about helping friends, doing thoughtful things for loved ones and environmental stewardship (not quite Ferngully levels), but can also just be a moment to enjoy pretty pictures (Art Nouveau vibes) and optimistic endings.
4 ⭐ This is a very sweet and happy graphic novel. Wisteria is a new sprite to town and where she moved the gardens are already beautiful and lovely. There are nothing for sprites to do. Out exploring her new home, she finds the yard next-door that needs help. She also meets a gardener with a nice smile who doesn‘t quite know how to garden. She helps bring the garden to life with only the magic that sprites can do, and ends up making new friends.
This cozy fantasy about the magic of cooperation and the joy of growing together is perfect for fans of K O‘Neill and the Tea Dragon Society, but is more of a mix between picture book and middle grades graphic novel, yet still enjoyable by readers of all ages (including 31 year old booksellers like me 😉).
An absolute delight to read! The art is beautiful and the story is gentle. I liked seeing Wisteria follow through on her ambitions and try to revive the garden. There are also a lot of really neat page layouts and pannel breaks throughout the comic, and I love that

A whimsical and beautiful graphic novel about a little sprite named Wisteria who tries to help a young human bring her garden to life. This graphic novel isn't too deep and the characters not fully developed, but honestly I feel the art is what was prioritized. And the art is gorgeous. So while you may not get a fully realized story, you do get some lovely images to look at. Definitely approach this one as if it were more art book than story.
