It was my first book group read of the year and easily my favorite of January. It‘s part of a series, which I didn‘t know going in and I hate reading series out of order but I don‘t think that mattered much and eventually I want to go back to the beginning. #12Booksof2022

Andrew65 This sounds a great read. 1y

Leaving Maui is extremely difficult, so I always have several future trips booked. Next visit: Whale season! 🐳

I came home to book mail:⁣

#20in4 And I‘m done! First book for 2022 and a 5 ⭐️ read for me. I enjoyed the contemporary storyline but not nearly as much as I enjoyed the story of Britta, who grew up in Denmark during WW2. I didn‘t know anything about the history of the Danes during the war, they lit occupation by nazi troops and the acts of heroism practiced by the Danes, particularly when the order was given to round up the Jews. 👇

CocoReads While fiction, it was based partially on true events. And it turns out this is the 6th in a series, so now I‘ve found a new to me author. #20in4 @Andrew65 2y

Still working on Britta. Taking a break to watch so@e UFC with the hubs. He went to the trouble of cooking dinner so I figured I‘d spend some time with him. My daughter made me the gloves and keeping my hands warm seem to help with my joint pain. My thumbs, especially snap, crackle, and pop more than a bowl of Rice Krispies. #20in4

CoverToCoverGirl Happy New Year! 🙂 2y
Andrew65 Think I need gloves for my right shoulder! Happy New Year. (edited) 2y
CocoReads Lol @Andrew65 I use heat and lidocaine patches for my shoulders. So far, I‘m not a fan of getting older. 🤣🤣 2y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Me either, can be an agony in bed. Really need to go to the doctors but not easy in these times. 2y
CocoReads I feel that. I have an appointment with my dr for so@e time this month, I think. I really need to call and find out when. Or find my log in info so I can look when I think about it (always after hours when I think about it) 2y

Britta is definitely a feisty, enjoyable character.

Between her and Mr. Balson's impeccable research, DEFENDING BRITTA STEIN is another winner for him.

Any fan of Mr. Balson will not want to miss his newest.
