Pickpick

Better than I'd anticipated 🙂
The first part of a GN adaptation of Brian Herbert's prequel novel, introducing well-known characters from about 30 years prior to the classic Dune. The focus is on young Leto Atreides, and spans most of the named worlds of the Galactic Imperium. It's space opera without the elder Herbert's philosophy, and it works on that level.
I'm not sure what someone unfamiliar with the Dune universe would make of it. 3.5🪱

My son got me the Dune Blu-ray for Xmas, which I was open to enjoying despite having been disappointed by Villeneuve's Blade Runner sequel, and which i fortunately loved!
I got these 2 graphic novel adaptations of Herbert Jr's House Atreides from the library, though this may be a less wise decision as I really didn't care for his novel, The Butlerian Jihad. Still, shouldn't be too much of a time commitment. If they're ok, I'll look for vol 3.

CBee My husband is a big Dune fan and very much loves the newest film! 2y
