Bookish Song Nr 41: If I lose myself

I love the trope of the doubting Jedi and Older does a great job in showing our heroes feelings and thoughts. No wonder I immediately had our Padawan heroes in mind, when this song came up. How they are all searching for their own paths and truths, but still knowing - whatever happens their friends got their back 💙

SPOILER RANT: Skip if you haven't and want to read the High Republic.

After reading everything involving the High Republic, I couldn't bring myself to invest my time in this final book of Phase 1. I was digging it for the most part, but Star Wars has always been about hope, and the Falling Star just ended in misery, with no clear plot forward, and they are doing a flash back 200 years for the next phase.

TieDyeDude I even tried this on 1.5x speed on audio, but I just could justify investing more time. I hope the next two phases are decent, but I'm definitely not going to go all in on the future releases until I see some reviews/synopsises. 2y
RamsFan1963 Is this book part of the regular High Republic series, or part of the YA series of Star Wars books? I liked The Fallen Star, but it did end on a downer. 2y

Repost for @BookwormAHN

September's book The Fallen Star was quite dramatic & at times felt claustrophobic but one of the best so far. What did everyone else think?
October's book Midnight Horizon is the next ya book in the series. This time we follow Jedi's Vitus & Sy along with their padowans Silas & Jomaram to Corellia.
As always if anyone wants to be added or removed just let me know. And May the Force Be With You!

BookwormAHN Thanks for the repost 😸 2y
