A Thousand Steps into Night | 
so-soI wish I liked this book more, but it felt like it dragged a bit (for my tastes). That said, the world is rich especially in spirits and demons, there are some really loveable characters, the narrator is amazing at bringing the characters to life, and it's a really good story void of romance and full of want and empowerment. Was Miuko too "good" for my tastes? Kind of #netgalleybacklog
pickMiuko is as ordinary as it gets until one night she is cursed & starts to turn into a demon. With only a short amount of time to turn herself back she starts on a journey where she meets friends & enemies & learns a lot about herself. Being a demon should be bad but her new found freedom is better than the restrictions she was living under & she‘ll have to decide exactly who she wants to be. A Japanese influenced YA fantasy, this is a good read.
Just started this one and if the remainder of the book is as good as the first few pages, this is going to be a fantastic read.
