Super violent thriller about a serial killer who copies other serial killers. I thought I‘d guessed the end, but I was wrong.

This is a brutal graphically violent thriller about a serial killer and I am not sure what it says about me, but I really enjoyed it...although I could never watch it as a movie. There is the intense hunt for the killer of course, but there is also romance and family drama. The author has also left room for a sequel, which I would love to see happen. This book is for fans of “The Chestnut Man“ and “The Jigsaw Man“. 4/5 stars!

I STRONGLY dislike Jess, so much so that I almost don't want to keep reading (I will at least a little more though, because I'm only about 17% in & want to give the rest of the book a chance).
I get the idea of a flawed character or a character you love to hate or what have you, but I can't stand her. I want her gone ASAP; I don't care if she gets killed or sent to prison or moves to Antarctica, I just don't want to hear about her anymore.

The plot itself is rather good & the fast pace & body count is maintained throughout. I really liked Cara & Griffin, but Jess was just an annoying plot device. I was hoping she would be killed off but no such luck. There are some clichés, but it maintained my interest well enough. The ending made me go “WTH?!“ 3.5🌟

My thanks to NetGalley & publishers, HarperCollins UK, for the opportunity to read an ARC. #NetGalley

OutsmartYourShelf TW: violence, gore, sexual violence, animal death (briefly), sexual content, talk of suicide.
