Anybody Home?
Anybody Home? | Michael J. Seidlinger
2 posts | 2 read | 4 to read
What came first, the home or the desire to invade? A seasoned invader with multiple home invasions under their belt recounts their dark victories while offering tutelage to a new generation of ambitious home invaders eager to make their mark on the annals of criminal history. From initial canvasing to home entry, the reader is complicit in every strangling and shattered window. The fear is inescapable. Examining the sanctuary of the home and one of the horror genre's most frightening tropes, Anybody Home? points the camera lens onto the quiet suburbs and its unsuspecting abodes, any of which are potential stages for an invader ambitious enough to make it the scene of the next big crime sensation. Who knows? Their performance just might make it to the silver screen.

Mehso-so

This is written as a "how to" for budding home invaders who want to enter the home video market. Record everything you do, and sell your recordings for big bucks and a possible movie contract. The book is written in a very clinical style, which took away the horror for me. Home invasions are themselves very scary, but somehow this book was not. It was a little tedious to get through.

This was a fairly quick read that I received from Night Worms.

Reggie This is too bad. I had wanted to read this. Last night on a YouTube short they were talking about one kid who had his earbuds in while he was home alone just doing his homework. When the parents get home they ask him what happened because there are muddy footprints and the kid says that wasn‘t him. When they saw the door to his room whoever it was had written a timeline in the door and some questions like why won‘t you turn around. The person had 2y
Reggie been there for over an hour watching the kid. 2y

This was so disturbing...like should this be published? Should I be reading this?!... A creepy and terrifying take on a home invasion, shared in great detail, by the criminal.
