Mehso-so

It's described as a “propulsive thriller,” but it's not. It's a slow burn psych suspense. Jonathan‘s wife Maddie disappeared on her b-day 20+ yrs ago & despite achieving success as a writer after her death, he's never recovered. There's very little action, & most of the story takes place in his head. The characters are unlikeable/despicable. It ended up being just a so-so read. Thanks Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
