I enjoyed this series starter and Cal and Bridget‘s adventure. He‘s an Irish thief, she‘s a by-the-book administrative assistant. He never intended to work for the British government, she never expected to be in the field. When a mission requires their unorthodox pairing, they have to rely on each other. Sparks fly, complications ensue. The intrigue felt unresolved, but I hope the rest of the series helps with that.

ravenlee I received a review copy and this is my honest opinion. 3mo

The first in a new series, this is fun, adventurous, a little steamy, and delightful. Bridget and Cal are wonderful and their banter as they move from antagonists to couple had me laughing. Galen doesn‘t use weird euphemisms, is laugh-out-loud funny, and crafts an exciting plot for her H/h. It‘s everything I love in historical romance. I‘m looking forward to reading more of her work.

This was a wonderful beginning to a new series that I‘m excited about from Galen. Called The Royal Saboteurs series, this will revolve around a group of men and women who have been chosen for certain skills to participate in further training in order to serve as covert spies/agents in service to queen/country. Callahan Kelly is asked to travel to The Farm in remote north England for his expertise in theft/sleight of hand. As he is down on his 🔻

While they initially clash, (his cheekiness, her efficiency), they become better acquainted when they are sent on a dangerous mission to Ireland and realize they do have some commonalities. My favorite takeaways were Cal‘s strength in overcoming some personal demons,
