This is small stories connected through a café with a cat barista. The cage only appears to those truly weary and the barista does his best to sooth away any anxieties and help his customers.

It is cosy, it‘s cute, and it‘s a quick uplifting manga.

Sweetkokoro I love this series! I finally got ahold of volume two (it‘s been sold out everyone for months) and it‘s just as cozy and adorable! 1y

This manga is such a delight. A cat who is a barista at a cafe that is Room-of-Requirement-esque in that it only shows up for those who are struggling and patrons are served exactly what the feline barista can sense they need?! YES PLEASE. I am impatient for my library to get Volume 2 in, as it's been on order for quite some time and I absolutely need more of this gem.

1. Inkspell by Cornelia Funke
2. Well, green is my favorite color, so sure do! I never really thought about a book cover color chasing me away from a book, though.
3. I Am a Cat Barista Vol. 1 by Hiro Maijima. I‘m surprised to say this as I‘ve never really read much manga before. Anime, sure, but not manga. But it was so heartwarming that it‘s my favorite July read!

Well that was adorable! Vignettes of a cat cafe owner‘s encounters with weary people who need guidance. As in it‘s a cat who runs the cafe. He makes drinks that he knows the human customers need. Kind of fun to see what drinks work for what situations (not sure if they‘re real but maybe), and definitely shows the power of real listening and appreciation for people that are having a hard time.
