A Merry Little Meet Cute | Julie Murphy, Sierra Simone

Finally posting my last review of 2022 reads. I started this early in December with #littensloveromance but it took me a while to get into. Overall I enjoyed it. The plot was fun- a reformed bad boy and a secret porn star as the leads on a Hallmark movie project. What could go wrong? A bit predictable but the characters had depth and it was nice seeing two openly bi characters in a straight-passing relationship without erasing their queer identity

Andrew65 Brilliant, this has been a very popular book during the Readathon. ☃️☃️☃️ 3mo

The Holiday Trap | Roan Parrish

This was a really fun book. 'The Holiday' is one of my all time favorite movies so I was excited for this queer version & it did not disappoint! Greta has an overbearing family & Truman just found his partner cheating so they decide to switch homes. Both characters find new love interests & life opportunities. Both the settings of small town Maine and New Orleans are described enchantingly. I loved the lush depictions of plant life throughout

This was a sweet romance filled with all the tropes - childhood friends to lovers, city girl returns home to small town and tries to save a small town business. I liked her love interest 'LumberJane' more than Morgan herself. There was a lot of emotional healing she had to go through. The setting was lovely. I definitely loved the secondary characters and can't wait for Ben and Adam's story in book 2

Love this author and loved this book 💖 She writes such great characters that are flawed and relatable. The found family aspect of this was just as great as the romance.

Failing doesn't make you a failure / going for what you love is scary but worth the risk / love trapezoids are messy and not advised

This was definitely a light hearted holiday read. Two single dads are roped into spending time together when their children sign them up for a holiday buddy program. No angst, just fluff and love 💕

A sequel to Pumpkin Everything. This story follows Powerball winner Josie Morgan as she tries to figure out her life while planning a Thanksgiving banquet for the townsfolk with no place to go.

Another cute romance set in the autumn loving town Autumnboro. I liked this one a little bit better than the first book.

I‘ve read this a couple times and never got around to reviewing it. I really like the storyline and characters. Dream and Death are my favorite. Love that John Constantine was included. Some pretty good artwork, too.

I always like Harold Schechter‘s books. This was in-depth and covers a lot of topics, including information about famous killers and some I wasn‘t familiar with. This had been unread on my shelf for years. Glad I finally got around to reading it. Some of the details and illustrations are pretty gruesome.
