Hannah & Celeste have been “besties”since HS, & were constantly together. They made a pact at 18 to share every New Year‘s Eve together, just the two of them-until Hannah‘s sudden inexplicable death on a ski slope changed everything. When Hannah‘s boyfriend finds Hannah‘s list of New Year‘s resolutions, Celeste is determined to complete them. Her journey through grief after this tragedy is authentic & 🔽

kspenmoll 🔼heartbreaking. Her process of letting go and moving forward, turns into an adventure as she completes each of Hannah‘s 12 New Year‘s resolutions. I was not expecting how much I would enjoy this novel, the authors descriptive, detailed writing & the depth of the her characters. Eventually there is romance for Celeste,& other characters as well. Today‘s tag #OutWithTheOld made me think of this book. Following the sudden death of a friend Celeste tries to keep her spirit alive by taking a year to complete all her friend‘s New Year‘s Resolutions. Loved this book and had all the emotions you would expect. Strongly recommend it.

Day 13 #AdventRecommends July Book 1

Just loved this book. ❤️ Following the death of her best friend Celeste endeavours to keep her spirit alive by completing her list of New Year‘s Resolutions over the course of a year. Little did she know the impact this would have on her life. Every emotion going in this book, and a surprising love story. Strongly recommended.

Aww this was a heartwarming story if sad at times. It touches on the grief of losing a loved one sensitvely but in a way that's real and relatable. The story is a slow and steady build up to a touching ending that didn't lead to massive compromises as I feared but instead Celeste taking a step forward for herself. The writing is descriptive and detailed. A lovely read for this time of year. 4* #Netgalley

TheEllieMo That title is to be a nod to The Pogues‘ Fairytale of New York 2y
kezzlou85 @TheEllieMo the title really fits the story well. Plus gotta love a musical reference 2y

Second book I‘ve read by this author and have loved the story telling of both of them and thre central group of characters. Celeste is left reeling following the death of a best friend and decides to complete the 12 New Year‘s Resolutions she never got to complete. Without realising it they totally transform her life. Totally recommend this book and author. Published next month.

10th book finished for #JubilantJuly

Time for something a bit different, July always the time to read about New Year‘s Resolutions 😂 A bit I of getting over grief as well as New Year‘s Resoutions in this one. Really enjoyed the last Emily Bell book I read so I am really looking forward to this one.

Started it last night and had me reading into the small hours of the night.
