Not as good as the first, but still important issues discussed (in comments). I didn't get the culprit this time.

Bailedbailed

I had to bail on this because there was so much going on and I didn‘t have the energy to read all the way through. I flipped to the end to see how everything turned out. It was also hard to read about Allie‘s burnout and disillusionment with her job because I‘m in that space myself at the moment 😣

RaeLovesToRead Hope you manage to de-frazzle. Burnout sucks ☹💙 2y
batsy That is tough 😟 I hope you get some time for yourself soon. 2y
rabbitprincess @RaeLovesToRead Thanks 💙 It‘s hard because I‘m at the point where I really need/want to go to school to get new skills but I am SO TIRED. And it sucks to not feel much like reading 😰 @batsy Thanks 💙 I‘m going to my parents for Christmas and that will be fun. 2y
kwmg40 Sorry to hear about your job woes. I hope you get a good rest over the holidays! 2y
rabbitprincess @kwmg40 Thanks, Paulina 💙 It was a bit quieter this week at work, which is good, but I could easily sleep for a week 😅 2y

Enjoyed this one. There was one point where there was lots of sub plots running and I was thinking this is all over the place but she brought it together. I like Allie and Rona so will definitely read more of this series.
It‘s set in 1989 (in case you didn‘t guess) I didn‘t read the Hillsborough pages because it still doesn‘t feel like it should be in ‘historical‘ fiction ☹️

Balibee146 Agree I would have skipped those too.... Terrible what happened and what went on after 💔💔😠😠 2y
TrishB @Balibee146 to close to me too read as fiction. 2y
Balibee146 @trishb 100% - I can only imaging when it is right on your doorstep too x 2y

Mehso-so

This was between a pick and a so so. It‘s been years since I‘ve read one of her books. This is very different to the early ones. Almost didn‘t seem like her writing. Enjoyed remembering events in Britain and the world from that year. I might give the other one in this series a go.1979. I lived that year too. 😊.
