I must say this was a pretty good book, makes you think, then surprise it's not who you thought it was

So good. I kept asking who and how 95% of the way through. Love how everything was put together. Wasn‘t a fan that the whole town got weirdly quiet with the murders. Kept asking who do I trust? I kind of want to go through it again to see if what questions I have still are answered and I didn‘t notice.
I received this from #NetGalley too long ago to admit, but I am happy that I finally read it.
This dark, psychological thriller satisfied me with its small town full of secrets and its twisty storytelling. It dips into horror briefly and reminds me a little of Karin Slaughter.
4½⭐
This was fantastic…dark, a little spooky, and twisted. If you want to pick it apart it did have its moments where things didn‘t always feel believable. But overall, it felt like a fresh take on the serial killer thriller and I thought it was thoroughly entertaining.
Really good; pulled me in quickly and kept me wanting to read to find out what was going on. I‘ve read a lot of mystery-thrillers the past couple of years and sometimes they have blended into one another. This one will stand out in my memory. Have to say that Eve sure was a hateful character – both in 1997 and in Connie‘s memories as she looks back on how Eve treated her.
